Mary Stevens Centre for the Blind, Stourbridge UK

Jaqueline was one of a number of national artists each commissioned to produce a public art work within the Dudley Metropolitan Borough.

Jaqueline was selected to work with The Mary Stevens Centre for the Blind, and she chose to produce wall panels for their waiting room.

Users of the centre took part in the making of the panels, creating glass tiles that depicted designs important to them. The names of the participants were also shown in cast glass along the top and bottom of each panel, with their Braille translation underneath.

Jaqueline also created a tactile map of the building's layout, giving the art work a practical aspect.
